We hope that you and your loved ones are keeping safe and well.
Our Sacrament Enrolment process for 2020 was put on ‘hold’ in mid-March. As State Government restrictions are eased, it is our hope that we will have the opportunity
to schedule new dates for the other celebrations of Sacraments attended by large numbers of children and families this year. We will be totally reliant on those hopes
being inaccord with the COVID-19 restrictions to which we are all subject.
The program provides religious education for Parish children from Year 2 to Year 6 who attend schools other than St. Simon’s.Classes will run at St. Simon’s Parish every Tuesday during school 1st, 2nd, 3rd term (unless otherwise notified) and are conducted from 4.00pm to 5.00pm.
The children spend 50 minutes with their Catechist. They gather together regularly with
all the ASRE children and catechists for communal prayer, based around a particular focus, and led by a catechist and their children, in the Parish Church.
If you know of any child from Grade 2 to Grade 6 who would like to be a part of the program, or, have expressed an interest to join our catechist team, please contact
Rosetta: 0408 884 867 or St Simon’s Parish Office: 9764 4058
Participation in the program is an essential component of the Parish Sacramental Program. Classes meet in the Church foyer at 4.pm. Due to COVID-19, classes were put on HOLD in 2020 and some students prepared via Zoom. We will advise the format of the program for this year as soon as we have details finialised according the COVID Restrictions to be placed.
Compulsory for ALL parents who wish to enrol a Candidate for Reconciliation,
First Communion or Confirmation to summit a completed Enrolment Form.
