We are doing everything we can to try and keep our Parish community together, at least virtually (i.e. via the internet on phones, iPads, laptops and computers), and to continue
to offer comfort and support to one another in our community during this crisis. But we need everyone’s assistance and co-operation (very much including yours!) to make that happen as safely as possible now that restrictions have started to relax.
We are asking parishioners to continue the practice of wearing a mask
while in the church.
Since at Mass we will be in the one spotfor the best part of an hour, it's an additional safety precaution whichfor most people is not too difficult. Wearing of a Mask inside the church is now mandatory under the below #26 COVID Guidelines and a condition of attending. We should not lose sight of how devastating COVID-19 has proved and we should not take our eyeoff the "community safety" ball.
We are still some distance from having a total green light for the social gatherings, such as for meetings, our cinema and hospitality, but are hoping these elements of parish life can return soon.
Under no circumstances should anyone awaiting a COVID-19 test verification, including Clergy (even without presenting symptoms) attend a church or parish setting until
a diagnosis is confirmed. Additionally, under no circumstances should anyone attend who is closely connected to people who are awaiting test results or who have tested positive.
